I am thrilled to announce that I have joined the ForbesBLK Community, a platform dedicated to uniting Black entrepreneurs, professionals, leaders, and creators striving for systemic change in business, culture, and society. As an award-winning petroleum engineer from Nigeria with a diverse background in engineering and marine sectors, I feel truly honored and humbled by this opportunity.
I received the official welcome on January 15th, 2024, via email, marking a new chapter in my career journey. Expressing my gratitude, I acknowledge the efforts of the ForbesBLK team and community leaders. Being part of ForbesBLK is a dream come true for me, and I am eager to make the community proud and contribute to its wonderful environment.
In a chat with journalists, I shared my excitement about the possibilities that lie ahead. I can’t wait to connect with fellow ForbesBLK members, collaborate, and learn from one another. As a mentor to young Nigerians, I see this platform as a chance to inspire and empower others to bring about positive changes in the world.
My career journey includes being an alumnus of the Petroleum Training Institute in Effurun, Delta State, and the University of Port-Harcourt, Rivers. I also hold a Master of Business Administration from Cardiff Metropolitan University, Cardiff, Wales, UK. I am proud to be recognized as an energy influencer and mentor for young people, with accolades such as the Africa Regional Award for Projects, Facilities, and Construction of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, The Energy Influencer Award, and The Way Ahead (TWA) Energy Influencers Class of 2021.
Joining the ForbesBLK community allows me to collaborate with influential Black leaders across various industries, share my knowledge and experiences with a broader audience, and access resources and support to further contribute to my field. I am committed to making an even greater impact in the world and helping pave the way for future generations of Black leaders. With a renewed sense of purpose and determination, I am ready to embark on this journey, aiming to make history and leave an indelible mark on the annals of time.
